I am a post graduate(2020) in APPLIED GEOLOGY from Calcutta University, West Bengal. Now working as a development professional in Northern Sub-Himalayan Region known as DOOARS, mainly posted at CHALSA, JALPAIGURI District.
My home-town is Bishnupur, Bankura District, south-western part of west Bengal. After my Higher Secondary , totally shifted in Kolkata and completed my bachelors and masters degree from Calcutta University.
Being Appointed in PRASARI, this is my first job, and I’m very proud to be a PRASARIAN as a member of PRASARI Family. Firstly, I joined as a development learner in Birbhum Location, and posted in Rajnagar Block on 1st June, 2021. During the 2nd wave of Covid Lockdown I’ve been joined and situation seems like “The state of leaving a Snail’s Shell”. The journey started then and is still going on. The journey is not so easy but still I’m enjoying every moment of it. First experience in my life also proud to be a part of “Village Stay and Study experience” in Taldihi Village, Suri I Block, Birbhum District. There is an interesting story about staying in this village, that I choose to stay in this village, which has never happened before and will never happen further. I can say from this experience that it has helped me a lot to know different aspects of society. Being a Geologist, working in development sector and sustaining it was not easy at all, but then I decide adding a new dimension as working with the community and for the community. May be those village stays days were not easy, but I will not say that it was very difficult, primary care because I always learned from my inspiration my father that, “Man can do Everything”.
What I think is that people from all walks of life need to join hands and believe that “We are all Equal”. And help the weakest section of society to discover their strength to raise their voice. At the border, with uniform our youths are doing their duty to protect the country, as a development professional without uniform is trying to work for the community. Also, as a development professional need both head and heart.
